First time visiting the Hometown Tavern. We got there right when it opened for the day. The Nachos were a large portion. More than enough for two people. The Rhody Steak Bomb was really good. Nice fries. Hard to finish with an app. Didn't have a chance to try a dessert. Maybe next time.

When in a tavern, eat tavern food. I had pizza, nachos, and mozzarella sticks. The pizza was very thick crust. I tried the pepperoni. It was very cheesy gooey with pepperoni. Surprisingly not greasy. The sauce was well spreaded. The nachos were not great, but not bad. They were heaped with meat, cheese, beans...The corn chips used were disappointing. However the guacamole was really good. To be honest I cannot remember anything else about the nachos. They were not standouts.....But The star in the my tavern food line up were the mozzarella sticks. These mozzarella sticks were perfectly fried and the centers very cheesy. They were all consistently crispy. I give them an A. The marinara was really great too. It was thicks with a sweet chunky tomato taste. The bar area itself was rather dark. Lots of dark paneling. We were placed in a side function room that was very bright. The staff was very caring and the bartender took great care of my group. I tried an ice tea that was delicious. It was not overly sweet and very mild. The only qualm was heavy on the ice. I did get a free refill. The bartender was making some good looking drinks though. I saw old fashions, martinis, and other cocktails flying out of the bar area. My group stuck to Diet coke, coke, a shireley temple (she put in a cherry) and my ice tea. I saw they have a very extensive menu. Definitely someplace to visit. Oh and they had live music coming in when I was leaving!!!

I attended an event there called it's not your grandma's bingo. It was a brunch and played Bingo after the brunch. The brunch was delicious and plenty of choices. I filled my plate. Afterwards we attended the bingo and it was hilarious and funny the music and the show itself was great. The staff it was very friendly, helpful took our plates and everything away right away. They were all courteous and friendly and enjoy to talk with. The bathrooms were clean and pleasantly decorated. I can't wait to attend this event again. The three of us had full bellies and body aches from dancing and singing so much. The DJ was excellent
